24. Driller Jobs in Kenya
JG ‘H’ (1 Post) Ref: KSM/CPSB/2016/175

This position reports to the Chief Superintendent Water services

Duties and Responsibility
  • In-charge of drilling activities within the county
  • Ensure the drilling equipment and tools are operating in good conditions
  • Compiling and submitting drilling reports
  • Reviewing new drilling strategies
  • Trouble shooting drilling shortcomings
  • Planning for drilling activities within the county
  • Ensuring drilling supplies are available in good time
  • Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time

    Competencies
  • Be a Kenyan citizen
  • Diploma in Drilling from a recognized institution.
  • Five (5) years’ relevant experience in a similar position in a reputable organization
  • Demonstrated merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
  • Knowledge of mechanics and hydraulic pumps
  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in computer applications
  • Must be able to work under minimum supervision
  • Demonstrate understanding of and commitment to the values and principles outlined in Articles 10 and 232 of the Constitution.
  • Satisfy the requirements of Chapter 6 of the Constitution of Kenya

    Duties and Responsibilities
  • Designing fire prevention and protection systems in government buildings and construction works
  • Maintaining fire equipment/fire-fighting machines
  • Firefighting as required
  • Offering fire rescue services and first aid (ambulance attendance)
  • Special Service Ordinary (SSO) and Special Service Emergency (SSE)
  • Siting fire appliances
  • Inspecting buildings for fire safety compliance
  • Preparation of weekly reports
  • Training staff and creating awareness of fire safety measures

    Competencies
  • Be a Kenyan citizen
  • Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/ Fire Engineering or Environment Health and Safety or any other relevant qualification from a recognized institution
  • Must have served in the grade of Fire Officer I or other position at that level in the public/private sector for at least three (3) years
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in computer applications
  • Must be able to work under minimum supervision
  • Demonstrate understanding of and commitment to the values and principles outlined in Articles 10 and 232 of the Constitution.

    26. Public Transport Inspector Jobs in Kenya - JG ‘H’ (2 Posts) – Ref: KSM/CPSB/2016/156

    Duties and Responsibilities
  • Inspect conditions of motor vehicles, Tuk-Tuks, motorcycles, and BodaBoda with a view of ensuring a safe and sustainable environment free from air pollution
  • Implement rules and guidelines for controlling official fleet and the conduct of drivers
  • Enforce plan of action for re-routing vehicles and decongesting bus parks in liaison with County Enforcement Officers
  • Revenue generation and collection in liaison with the Transport Officer and County Enforcement Officers
  • Ensure the county is in compliance with all transport legislation
  • Implement road safety awareness
  • Any other duty as assigned

    Competencies
  • Be a Kenyan citizen
  • Must have a Diploma in Automotive or any other equivalent qualification.
  • Must have a valid driving license.
  • Must have a minimum of three (3) years’ relevant experience in fleet inspectorate (logistics)
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in computer applications
  • Must be able to work under minimum supervision
  • Demonstrate understanding of and commitment to the values and principles outlined in Articles 10 and 232 of the Constitution.
