Terms of Service: Permanent

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Keeps equipment available for use by inspecting and testing vehicles.
  • Completing preventive maintenance such as, engine tune-ups, oil changes, tire rotation and changes, wheel balancing, replacing filters.
  • Maintains vehicle functional condition by listening to operator complaints.
  • Conducting inspections.
  • Repairing engine failures.
  • Repairing mechanical and electrical systems malfunctions.
  • Replacing parts and components.
  • Repairing body damage where possible.
  • Verifies vehicle serviceability by conducting test drives, adjusting controls and systems.
  • Complies with state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards.
  • Maintains vehicle records by recording services and repairs.
  • Keeps shop equipment operating by following operating instructions.
  • Troubleshooting breakdowns.
  • Maintaining repair, maintenance and servicing supplies.
  • Performing preventive maintenance.
  • Calling for repairs.

    Requirements for Appointment
  • Certificate in Automotive Engineering or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
  • At least one (1) year experience in institution vehicle maintenance.
  • Possession of driving licence.

  • Booking meetings.

  • Receiving and sorting daily mail/deliveries/couriers.
  • Keeping the reception area tidy.
  • Answering, screening and forwarding phone calls
  • Answering, screening and forwarding any incoming phone calls while providing basic information when needed
  • Maintains security by following procedures; monitoring logbook; issuing visitor badges.

    Requirements for Appointment
  • Diploma/Certificate in front office operations.
  • KCSE C- (Minus) with C (Plain) in English or Kiswahili
  • At least one (1) year experience.
  • A certificate in Computer application.

  • Produces information by transcribing, formatting, inputting, editing, retrieving, copying, and transmitting text, data, and graphics.
  • Organizes work by reading and routing correspondence; collecting information; initiating telecommunications.
    (iii) Maintains factory schedule by maintaining calendars/diary for departments, arranging meetings, conferences, teleconferences, and travel.
  • Completes requests by greeting customers, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries.
  • Maintains customer confidence and protects
    operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Prepares factory reports by collecting and compiling information.
  • Maintains office supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.
  • Secures information by completing database backups.
  • Provides historical reference by utilizing filing and retrieval systems.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

    Requirements for Appointment
  • KCSE C- (Minus) with at least C (Plain) in English or Kiswahili.
  • Certificate/craft certificate in Secretarial Studies in the relevant subjects from KNEC.
  • At least one (1) year experience in an institution.
