Introduction
Reporting to the Factory Assistant/Factory Foreman, the job holder will be responsible for running of machinery in assigned sections in tea manufacture.

Minimum Requirements
  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Preferably plant option)/Agricultural Engineering or related Engineering Field with (1) year hands on experience in machinery operation and maintenance.
  • Good organizing and planning skills
  • Ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision
  • Proven supervisory, administrative and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be a team player and ready to learn.
  • Computer literate

    Key Responsibilities
  • Run the machinery in tea manufacture process network.
  • Maintain the stipulated tea manufacturing parameters.
  • Attend to machinery breakdowns.
  • Maintain all documentation in the assigned section.
  • Supervise and employees as required.

    of machinery spares.
  • Maintain the stipulated tea manufacturing parameters.
  • Supervise and train employees.
  • Maintain all documentation in that section.

    3. Finlays Kenya Counselor Jobs

    Introduction

    Reporting to the Company Counselor ,the job holder will offer counseling to company employees and their dependants within the company’s Estate, Factories and Departments.

    We need dynamic individuals with strong planning & organizing skills, interpersonal & communication skills and team players to fill the following vacant positions in our Kericho based operations

    Minimum Requirements
  • Degree in counseling or psychology
  • Must be registered with Kenya Counselors and Psychologist Association (KCPA) with a practicing license.
  • 5 years experience working in a busy counseling environment in a similar role
  • The job holder is required to have comprehensive knowledge of the Children Act, Children’s rights, People with disabilities, substance abuse, Sexual Offences Act and other Kenyan laws with respect to child/family welfare and child protection.
  • Must be computer literate
  • Excellent communication skills ( oral and written)
  • Good organising and planning skills with good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision
  • Addiction counselling experience is an added advantage.

    Key responsibilities:
  • Offer counseling services to employees and their dependants as required.
  • Assisting the Welfare team in creating awareness and coming up with strategies of managing substance and drug abuse within the company’s villages and schools.
  • The job holder is expected to work closely with medical team as situation demands.
  • In liaison with the Welfare team and Unit Managers, support Gender initiatives through training gender and village committees.
  • As a champion, support peer counselors through training and empowerment programmes
  • Offer guidance and support to employees living with disabilities in the company
  • Compile monthly reports for submission to the Welfare Manager.

    I have experience in heavy diesel and hydraulics but I trained as a motor vehicle mechanic though I can do in both light and heavy vehicles. Can I qualify to be one of your team members?
