Dental Nursing Scholarship

I was studying dental nursing at a college in UK but did not finish because the college closed down and had to return home as my students visa was expiring. Can I therefore write to any college in the UK to explain my situation to them and ask for a scholarship so as to go back to the UK to finish my course?
