Cooperate Communication and Public Affairs Scholarships

by Edward
(Lagos, Nigeria)

In my tender age, I grown up to understand that I cannot have the basic things my age group possessed due to my family poor background. It was really difficult going to school. My parents were deeply involved into farming for us to survive. So they managed to train us to secondary school certificate level in other for us to fend for our self.

Prior to the time the secondary school certificate examination result was released, I engaged myself into hard labour through which I saved money to move to the city for white collar job.

Fortunately, I secured a job in the city as a clerical officer. For the period five years of work, I saved towards furthering for higher education because I believe that education is a science that changes people life. I was given admission in 1997 to study diploma in Public Administration in Edo State University now Ambrose Alli University. I eventually proceeded to bachelor degree after the completion of the diploma program. I was financially stressed through out the undergraduate program which subjected me to hard labour. The courage and the zeal to become a graduate gave me hope not to drop out of the university. I graduated through the grace of God in bachelor in Public Administration.
However, I served my country, Nigeria for one year known as National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in National Examinations Council. Thereafter, I was given an appointment in National Examinations Council (NECO) Nigeria, 2005 with the rank of Examination Officer.

I have earnestly and diligently demonstrated strong commitment to public service in my responsibilities which includes administrative duties, registration, coordination, marking and processing of results, accreditation of secondary schools and campaigning against the scourge of examination malpractice, perhaps building Nigeria child through education to become the controller of their own destiny.

I have become particularly interested in this time of my life and wish to develop my career to advance to Masters’ degree. I have been given an admission in cooperate communication and public affairs in Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen and more so Msc in International Logistics in Fontys University/Plymouth University,(4 months in Netherlands and 8 months in UK).

Meanwhile I don’t have the resources to advance to this program. Please I will appreciate if you can help me to search for scholarships to enable participate in this program.
Thanks and God bless you.
