    Responsibilities:

    Clinical Responsibilities include:

  • Researches, develops and implements clinical excellence initiatives in partnership with administrative, clinical leadership and the Bureau Medical and Quality teams.
  • Maintains 30 hours weekly to see patients at the clinic, providing initiation, treatment, care and follow-up as required.
  • Ensures that all patients access various diagnostic tests.
  • Analyses and evaluates medical procedures and diagnostic tests that promote good clinical outcomes in accordance to standard guidelines.
  • Provides leadership in analysis of reports, tests, examination and facilitation of referrals to medical specialists or other practitioners for specialized treatment.
  • Department of Health and partner institutions.

    Qualifications:

  • Education and/or Experience
    Must have a Bachelor’s degree (MBCHB or equivalent) from an accredited university with minimum of 10 years providing HIV care; plus at least 3 years of managerial experience.
  • Must have a Post graduate degree in Public health, Infectious diseases or Internal medicine. Post graduate management training is an added advantage
  • Should have regional and/or national experience in quality outcomes;
  • credibility as a clinician with experience in practice for an extended period of time following training

    Computer Skills

  • Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel and power point.
  • Language Skills
  • Ability to read, analyze, interpret and write complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints in both English and the local language spoken by most patients.

    AIDS Healthcare Foundation Pharmacist Assistant Careers in South Africa

    Responsibilities:

  • Reviews and processes prescriptions and medication orders as per request.
  • Assist pharmacist in preparing and dispensing medication orders and prescription.
  • Prepares, fills and compounds drugs orders by AHF physicians and other authorized personnel.
  • Operates and uses appropriate techniques within system for storage, preparation and dispensing of medication agents and follows the healthcare centers policies regarding medication preparation and labeling, controlled substances reconciliation and purchasing of pharmaceuticals and supplies.
  • Assist the pharmacist in the retrieval of accurate, concise, applicable data relating to drug usage

    Qualifications:

    Education and/or Experience:

  • Grade 12 (matric) and six month upward related Post Basic Pharmacist Assistant Course experience and/or training; equivalent combination of education and experience would advantageous for the job.
  • Be able to utilize UniSolv Pharmacy Dispensing Program

    Language Skills:

  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret common prescription codes/direction.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers and regulatory bodies (eg PMSC, etc.
  • Ability to write speeches routine reports and correspondences clearly.
  • Ability to effectively present information to customers, supervisor and other staff members of the organization.

    Certificates, Licenses and Registrations:

  • Grade 12 (Matriculation) certificates;
    Post Basic Pharmacist Assistant Certificate issued by South African Pharmacy Council; and Registered with South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC)
