Workshop on Peace, Religion and Media
November, 9-22, 2008 Tehran, Qom and Caspian Sea Beach, Iran The First Students Workshop on Peace, Religion and Media will be held in Iran, from November 9th to 22nd, 2008 simultaneously with The Second International Conference on Religion and Media. It will provide a unique opportunity in a friendly environment for the young participants to explore the complicated relationship between religion and media and to enhance their knowledge and skills in redirecting the power of this relationship towards the positive aim of building a culture of peace. Young journalists, film and media activists, NGO workers, peace and human rights activists, community leaders and researchers who have at least a bachelor degree in related fields are invited to apply for the workshop. All costs of the program in Iran (accommodation, food, local transport, etc) will be covered for participants but they are responsible for their own airfare. Deadline: August 1st, 2008.
