Westfield Trust And Queen Mary MA Bursaries

The School of Modern Languages is pleased to announce 3 College Bursaries, that will cover tuition fees at the home rate (currently £3,170), to be awarded by the summer of 2007.

One Westfield Trust Bursary will be awarded to a suitably qualified candidate (UK, EU or Overseas) applying for any of the following MA programmes:

  • Anglo-German Cultural Relations

  • European Literature, Culture And Thought

  • Film Studies

  • Identity And Representation

  • Language, Society And Change In Europe

  • Russian Language And Culture

  • Research In Linguistics

    Two Queen Mary Bursaries will be awarded to suitably qualified candidates (UK, EU or Overseas) applying for:

    Anglo-German Cultural Relations

    To be eligible you need to apply for admission to one of the above programmes by completing the Postgraduate Application Form, enclosed with the Graduate School Prospectus, which can be obtained by sending your postal address to: sml.pg@qmul.ac.uk or by contacting:

    The completed application form and two academic references must reach the Admissions & Recruitment Office, Queen Mary, University of London, Mile End Road, London E1 4NS, before 16th February 2007.

    Any applicant for admission to one of the above MA programmes, to commence in 2007-08, will automatically be considered for the bursary competition.

    There is no separate application form.

    It is a condition of each bursary that applicants, if eligible, must also apply to the relevant research council (e.g., AHRC, ESRC) for an award. Details are available from www.ahrc.ac.uk and www.esrc.ac.uk.

    Closing Date: Friday 16 February 2007

    Applications received after this date will still be considered for admission but may be too late to be considered for the bursary competition.
