Location Base: Monrovia, Liberia with frequent travel to Guinea and Sierra Leone, occasionally within the region and to Europe and North America
International Alert requires someone with a relevant postgraduate degree, who has a proven track record of working on gender/peacebuilding issues within an international organisation.
Applicants will also have had experience of working in/on conflict/post-conflict contexts, and working with women’s organisations at national and international levels.
Along with having experience of managing donor-funded projects and developing funding proposals, you should have experience of managing staff.
You will also need to have knowledge of policy-making institutions, such as ECOWAS and the UN, and the ability to speak fluent French with fluent written and spoken English.
