Uwazi is part of Twaweza. Uwazi seeks to 'liberate' data and information so as to better inform public discussion.

It is currently seeking to recruit:

Analyst

Qualifications:

At least a Masters in a relevant field (Political Science, sociology, history, political economy).

An ability to work independently and guide a team of junior researchers and interns.

A good knowledge and understanding of the political economy of Tanzania from the national to the local level and who follows current policy debates.

A demonstrated ability to present policy analysis in a clear and compelling manner in English as well as (preferably) Kiswahili.

The candidate will not be required to do actual website programming, but experience on using web-sources and a good understanding on how technology can be used to promote efficient presentation of complex information is an asset.
