The University of Salford has developed an international reputation for excellence in teaching and research.

In order to be considered for an International Excellence Scholarship (or South Asia Bursary), one should apply for any Masters course starting in 2009 at the University of Salford.

Applicants will be considered on the basis of their academic qualifications only (including any qualifications currently being completed.

English ability, personal circumstances, or work experience will not be considered.

Award:

  • Awarded on academic merit only.
  • £ 2,000 for courses with fees over £ 9,000.
  • £ 1,000 for courses with fees under £ 9,000.
  • Available for all full-time postgraduate taught courses beginning in September 2009 or January/February 2010.
  • No need to apply separately.

    Eligibility:

  • These awards are only available to students paying overseas fees.
  • All applicants for postgraduate taught programmes and who are eligible for a place at the University will automatically be considered for a scholarship.

    Successful qualifying candidates are awarded scholarships as noted:

  • If your annual tuition fees are £ 9,000 or above, a scholarship of £ 2,000 will be automatically deducted from your tuition fees.
  • If your annual tuition fees are below £ 9,000, a scholarship of £ 1,000 will be automatically deducted from your tuition fees.
  • Applicants must be available to take up your programme place based on the following dates: September 2009 or January / February 2010 (depending when programmes commence).
