It is designed to complement development-oriented studies with practical experience in various aspects of technical assistance.
Candidates for the internship programme are selected on a competitive basis.

The UNFPA Internship Programme is on a non-remunerative basis.
The costs connected with an intern's participation in the Programme must be borne either by the nominating institution, which may provide the required financial assistance to its students, or by the student, who will have to obtain financing, as well as make his or her own arrangements for accommodation, travel, medical insurance, etc.
Applicants interested in participating in UNFPA's Internship Programme must submit a United Nations Personal History Form (P-11) and an Application Form along with a brief statement describing your interests and reasons for wishing to participate in the Programme.
