The University of Newcastle International Postgraduate Research Scholarships

These scholarships will be awarded to high calibre international applicants based on merit.

The scholarship covers tuition fees and a living allowance will also be provided by the Faculty in which the scholarship recipient is enrolled.

To be eligible for an UNIPRS, the applicant must:

  • Be a commencing student in Semester 1,
  • Normally not have previously held a research scholarship
  • Submit a completed Application Form
  • Meet the University’s English language proficiency requirements by the application deadline (that is, applicants must provide evidence of English language proficiency by September 30, otherwise their applications will not be considered).

    Successful UNIPRS applicants will be notified from early December to the start of Semester 1,as funding becomes available.
