Community care M & E specialist Futures Group develops and delivers innovative, locally relevant, evidence-based solutions to improve the health and well being of people around the world. Key Responsibilities Working principally under the MEASURE Evaluation Project and in collaboration with the MEASURE Evaluation Chief of Party, the Community Care M&E Advisor will: Work with the Department of Social Welfare on the development and implementation of the Most Vulnerable Children M&E System, including but not limited to supporting development and implementation of data collection tools, M&E capacity building activities and stakeholder coordination for M&E.Support other government agencies or departments with the development and implementation of their M&E systems as need arisesProvide technical assistance to Local Government Authority staff, i.e. District Social Welfare Officers and Community Development Officers, on using data for planning and decision making.Develop and apply tools and curricula to build M&E capacity especially among OVC program staff to collect, report and use appropriate program data at the national, and community levels.Support implementing partners to adapt and use MEASURE Evaluation tools and approaches, such as the Community Trace and Verify and Participatory M&E.Provide technical assistance to the development and implementation of rapid assessments and/or evaluations on community-based programs.Facilitation of trainingsQualifications Minimum of a master's degree required; degree should be in child development, social work, community development, public health, psychology or a related field5+ years in the field of orphans and vulnerable children, community development or community outreach with direct program experience in developing countriesExperience in monitoring and evaluation of OVC or other community development programs, including performance monitoring plans and indicator developmentExperience in working with USAID or other USG agencies and programs or other international donorsExperience in capacity-building and supportive supervision desirableAbility to function independentlyAbility to work in challenging field settingsGood team player and ability to work in multidisciplinary teamsGood communication skills and ability to work with counterparts from community members to government officials and researchersProficiency in English and SwahiliCitizen of TanzaniaPhysical Demands Regularly required to stand or sit, and move about the facilityWork Environment Usual office working conditions free of disagreeable elements.All applications for this position should be submitted online at www.futuresgroup.com via the Careers page.
