Team Leader for monitoring of sustainable management of the
environment and natural resources in four regions of sub-Saharan Africa
GRM International is currently working on a tender for TA support to AMESD.
Team leadership, excellent communication and managerial skills in
office administration, workshops, large meetings and especially in
political and decision making contexts
Motivated and able to motivate others
Ability to produce concise reports
Familliar with and able to use standard office software packages,
email and internet effectively
Fluent in English with VERY good working knowledge of French,
knowledge of Portuguese will be an asset
At least 15 years experience in programme management
Appreciation of human capacity development issues in developing
countries (continuity, brain drain, e-learning, individual versus
Experience in knowledge management
At least 10 years in developing countries
At least 10 years in management at global/continental and regional level, with experience in at least 2 similar Projects/programmes, preferably involving environmental management
Experience in at least 1 EDF project in the last 10 years
Experience in working in 'TA support mode' on at least 1 project in the last 10 years
Experience in addressing aspects of population, poverty, environment nexus in poor countries is required
EO (Earth Observation) experience/understa nding will be an advantage
