The T24 System Administrator will provide high level support for the core banking system (T24) of Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) with the ultimate responsibility for overall performance tuning at T24 application layers, T24 development & maintenance, report generations and ensuring successful backups are performed.
Installation, configuration and upgrading of T24 application environments whenever required.
Perform T24 application tuning and performance monitoring
Implement and maintain T24 application security
Evaluate new T24 features and related products
Oversee all development and integrations aspects between T24 and 3rd Party Systems
Interface with Temenos Corporation for technical support.
Coordinate extraction of business/MIS reports and ensure distribution to relevant 3rd party systems such as Data warehouse in addition to availing the same to respective business units.
To ensure that all system changes are fully documented and to maintain the documentation to a professional level
Liaise with change management team and business sponsors in keeping up to date the T24 software version by scheduling upgrades, patch release implementation and software development into the production environment.
For the above position, the successful applicant should have:-
A Bachelor’s degree in ICT or related field from a recognized university. Possession of additional IT certification or a Masters in computer science, MBA will be an added advantage
A minimum of 3 years experience in a T24 production support environment as an administrator/consultant.
Must have the aptitude to understand T24 application and all system administration tasks involved in maintaining a T24 environment.
Experience with Unix scripting, jbase programming, PL/SQL and XML SQL.
Experience with installation of IBM WMQ, IBM Websphere, and Tomcat.
Good knowledge and understanding of MQ clustering, NFS concepts.
Knowledge of IBM Webshpere and MQ Integration with T24.
Experience with solid backup and recovery standards;
In-depth knowledge of the HP-UX 11i Vx UNIX operating system.
Knowledge of and experience with change management and database best practices.
