Students Partnership Worldwide (SPW) is a youth-led, international development organisation, implementing community level programmes that help tackle the underlying causes of poverty in disadvantaged rural communities in 8 countries in sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia.
SPW is looking for a highly motivated individual to fill the newly created post of Regional Finance Manager based in Africa, with relevant financial management experience and an interest in SPW's mission to create meaningful opportunities for young people to take on a leadership role in addressing the most significant development issues in their own communities and countries.
Based in Africa and reporting to the International Director of Finance in UK, you will be responsible for regional reporting, as well as consolidating the budget and Management accounts.
You will review and analyse monthly and quarterly actual and forecast financial results, as well as review the existing financial policies and procedures and recommend changes, conducting internal audit for country programmes and report to International Director of Finance with recommendations.
One of the main responsibilities is to travel across all SPW's country programmes in Africa, leading capacity building and training efforts with financial and non financial staff.
The successful candidate will have good command of NGO accounting standards, an preferably be familiar with Pastel accounting software.
