Finance Manager

(3 Positions)

Overall Purpose

Reporting to the General Manager, the ideal candidate will be responsible for the strategic and efficient management of the finance function.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Leading the formulation and implementation of finance strategy
  • Ensuring prudent financial management and development of internal control environment
  • Overseeing preparation & reviewing of monthly and annual financial reports
  • Formulating costing and revenue policies and systems to ensure accounting for all costs incurred and revenue collected
  • Coordinating internal and external audits, preparation of supporting schedules and following up on timely implementation of audit recommendations
  • Managing cash flow to ensure timely payments as per the credit policy
  • Managing and motivating a team of Accountants to achieve the departmental and corporate objectives

    Key Skills, Knowledge & Attributes:

  • A minimum of a Bachelors degree in Business, Economics, Accounting or Finance from a recognized institution
  • A fully qualified Accountant (ACCA/CPA-K)
  • At least 7 years finance and accounting experience,
  • Proven experience working with Navision will be an added advantage
  • Should be open-minded and a change champion
  • A team player, possessing good communication, analytical, planning and problem solving skills
  • Mature person with proven integrity

    Accountant

    (2 Positions)

    Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Preparing monthly management accounts
  • Managing all relevant statutory filings
  • Reconciling all nominal ledger accounts, creditor statements, payroll, statements of expenditure and bank accounts.
  • Compiling and analyzing financial information to prepare entries to the general ledger accounts
  • Preparing financial statements and supporting schedules for the annual financial review and annual budgets.

    Key Skills, Knowledge & Attributes:

  • Degree in B.Com (Accounting or Finance option) from a recognized university.
  • Professional qualifications i.e. CPA-K or ACCA
  • At least 4 years experience in a similar position
  • Experience working with Navision will be an added advantage
  • Should be open-minded and a change champion
  • A team player, possessing good communication, analytical, planning and problem solving skills
  • Mature person with proven integrity
