The incumbent of this role is responsible for the provision of a planned schedule for Cabin Crew and assists with the smooth operation of the department.The incumbent is accountable for all workforce planning related to Cabin Crew Management.
Minimum Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Computer Science or Statistics at NQF level 5
Minimum of 2 years experience in project management, preferably projects with a degree of complexity and cross functional base
Minimum of 2 years experience in managing third party service providers
Experience in the aviation industry an added advantage
Advanced excel
Job Specification
The role will be accountable for the following:
Plan the Cabin Crew roster within strict timelines.
Constant management of the schedule in order to ensure on-time delivery of the roster.
Assign various activities to individual crew members subject to strict rules and regulations.
Comply with the SA Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), the Department of Labor (DoL), Crew Union agreements and company regulations in all work execution.
Quality Assurance:- Maintain a high degree of accuracy in the Cabin Crew roster- Take corrective action where shortfalls are identified
Rectify the problems through enhancements to the crew scheduling system or user development.
Ensure the smooth operation of all automated systems used by the Cabin Crew Planning department.
Assist the Manager:Cabin Crew Planning with the development and management of the annual operational budget as well as ensuring accuracy in the end systems used for the budget function.
Assist with various costing reports during negotiations with the unions.
