Students Partnership Worldwide (SPW) Tanzania is a youth-led, youth-focused NGO.

It harnesses the energy and talents of educated young professional peer educators between the ages of 18-25 years so that they can empower other young people to make more informed decisions about their health, and crucially, reduce their vulnerability to HIV/AIDS.

SPW Tanzania programmes perform an important role in the Tanzanian national response to HIV/AIDS, and are recognised as best practise by both the government and international community.

Job Description

The Senior Manager for Programmes Impact and Quality will be part of the SPW Tanzania Senior Management team, responsible for focusing on how to maximise our programmes impact, ensuring quality delivery and support in all aspects of our programmes implementation.

The post’s main duties include:

  • organisational and programmes strategy and planning; supervision and support of SPW Tanzania’s management strategy "Managing for Impact"
  • coordinating quality improvement on SPW Tanzania programmes; capacity building of programmes staff to maximise coordination and delivery of programmes;
  • documentation and dissemination of programmes results and best practises / lessons learned;
  • supervision and support of the M&E Unit, directly line-managing the M&E manager; and other general senior management responsibilities.

    The successful candidate will have:

  • at least two years appropriate management experience;
  • a graduate level degree in a relevant field of study; experience of design and evaluation of youth sexual and reproductive health programmes would be highly desirable;
  • excellent IT, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills;
  • and be capable of driving forward the strategic development of our programmes.
