Ruth Satter Memorial Award, Association for Women in Science Predoctoral Awards 2008

The Ruth Satter Memorial Award is designed for outstanding graduate students who interrupted their education for at least three years to raise a family.

The award will support study in a number of fields, including topics in the natural sciecnes, social sciences and humanities.

Association for Women in Science (AWIS) may also award Citations of Merit ($300).

Female students enrolled in a behavioral, life, physical, or social science or engineering program leading to a Ph.D. degree may apply.

Applicants may apply at any time in their Ph.D program, including the first year.

Non-U.S. citizens must be enrolled in a Ph.D. program at a university in the United States. Previous applicants to this program may not reapply.

Application deadline: January 24, 2008
