The Ruhr Graduate School in Economics (RGS Econ) is a three-year doctoral program initiated and founded by three universities of Germany’s Ruhr Area - the University of Bochum, the University of Dortmund and the University of Duisburg-Essen - as well as by RWI Essen, one of Germany’s leading economic research institutes.

The Ruhr Graduate School offers 8 PhD Scholarships (1250 Euro per month).

The program provides postgraduate education in all relevant fields of modern economics, covering formal theoretical and empirical econometric analyses in labor and population economics, industrial economics, microeconomics, macro-economics, and public economics.

Qualifications:

The RGS Econ is looking worldwide for applicants with an excellent academic record and a Master, Diploma or equivalent degree in economics or related fields.

A strong background in quantitative methods is necessary for a successful application. The language of the program is English.

Hence, a good command of English is a prerequisite.
