Job Description
- Roving to all IMC missions as needed
Essential Job Duties:
1) Emergency Response Logistics
2) Logistics staff gap filling in various missions at various responsibility levels
3) Local staff capacity building both through trainings and daily work
4) Implementation of IMC logistics guidelines and ensuring compliance with donor and local government regulations
5) Logistics processes audit and implementation of necessary revisions
6) Assessments in new countries or new areas (logistics aspects)
7) Opening or closure of sites/missions (logistics aspects)
8) Readiness to spend between 6-9 months per year roving outside base country
Qualifications:
1) Logistics related training is preferred
2) 5-7 years of experience in humanitarian logistics required, with minimum 2 years in a senior position
3) English (obligatory) and French (preference) fluent in oral and written communication
4) Ability to work in remote areas under harsh conditions and
5) Ability to adjust to team needs
6) Cultural sensitivity
7) Flexibility
8) Good physical condition
Other Comments:
Candidate has to demonstrate seniority and must be flexible to accept assignment on needs basis without long term plan.
