Minimum Educational Requirements:

  • University B-degree or equivalent.
  • An M-degree preferable.

    Preferred Experience;

    At least 5 years as a development professional in planning, monitoring & evaluating HIV/AIDS programs at a strategic and tactical level, including issues related to orphans and the provision of technical advice.

    Such experience should have been acquired on an African regional basis.

    Other requirements: Excellent command of English. French & Portuguese desirable. 

    The position will require frequent and extensive travel throughout the Region, and occasionally to other parts of the world.


    The successful incumbent will be located in their home country within the region of east and southern Africa.
