Programs Intern  

Location: Nairobi, Kenya. 

Akiba Uhaki Foundation is pleased to send a Call for Internship for its Programs Department.

Job Summary

The Programs Intern shall report to the Programs Coordinator and will work closely with the Program Associate and Grants Adminstrator.

The intern will assist with duties within the Akiba Uhaki Foundation (AUF) Programs department including but not restricted to Research, Assisting in processing of Grant Applications, Programs Communication and Documentation support.

Desired Qualifications:

A first degree in law, development studies, international relations, political science, social studies, or related fields Demonstrated proficiency in use of information and Communication Technology(ICT) and skills in data collection(possession of a Diploma or Certificate in ICT will be an added advantage).

Excellent communication skills: written, verbal, and presentation skills in English.

Proficiency in French and Kiswahili will be a strong advantage.

Excellent research and analytical skills Creativity ,innovativeness, possession of general office skills and etiquette

Familiarity and/or interest in human rights and social just issues in particular and regional and international trends in general.

Discretion and ability to handle confidential issues.

Ability to work and deliver assignments on time including short deadlines

Sensitivity, flexibility, tolerance, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team are important personal qualities.

A sense of good humor too will be welcome!
