Academic Qualifications/ Experience/ Language
Education
First level university degree.
Work Experience
At least 3 –5 years experience in programme, project management or
business administration.
Experience in humanitarian affairs essential and experience in mine
action an asset.
Knowledge of the UN mine action policy and Mine Action Information
Management Policy is highly
desirable.
Experience in working as Programme staff or desk officers of the
United Nations system, of donors or
NGOs is highly desirable.
At least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in
engineering (military and/or civilian) of which
3 year should have been in mine action related activities.
Practical
experience in mine action information
management is essential, preferably in a UN mine action operation.
Languages
For the post advertised fluency in written and oral French and English
is required. Knowledge of Arabic
would be an asset.
Other Skills
Understanding of UN mine action programme, policies, and coordination
mechanisms desirable.
Computer literacy.
Able to work in a multicultural environment.
