Do you have water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) project management experience with a proven track record in project implementation and strategic planning and want to make a significant contribution to the improvement of practice in the WASH sector?
An experienced Project Manager is being sought for a 5 year DfiD funded project – Capacity Building to Improve Humanitarian Action in the WASH sector.
You will have responsibility for overall management of this multi-country programme and delivery of the outputs which aim to increase quality of WASH service delivery within Tearfund’s operations and those of our partners.
In addition you will have responsibility for increasing the quality of local government and civil society public health education, pilot innovation in the sector, advocate at all levels and share good practice externally.
The successful applicant will be educated to degree level, be an effective manager with proven leadership, negotiation, monitoring and representation skills, and have relevant overseas experience.
Good written and spoken English, excellent cross-cultural awareness and a genuine heart for the poor are essential for this role.
The post is based in Nairobi and involves frequent travel to the countries of implementation e.g. DRC, Liberia, North Sudan, South Sudan, Aghanistan.
All posts involve potential contact with children and the recruitment process will include specific checks related to child protection issues.
