Programme Adviser

Location: Somalia

The Programme Adviser’s primary role is to provide Saferworld’s Country Programme Management with strategic, timely, unbiased and culturally-sensitive advise to make Saferworld’s approach to working with Non-State Actor platforms and other Somali partners as appropriate and constructive as possible.


  • A BA (MA an added advantage) in peace/conflict studies, development, international relations.
  • A minimum of five years experience working on peace-building or development with NSAs and/or non-governmental organisations.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Excellent written and spoken Somali.
