Programme Adviser

Location: Kenya/Somaliland

The Programme Adviser’s primary role is to provide Saferworld’s Country Programme Management with strategic, timely, unbiased and culturally-sensitive advise to make Saferworld’s approach to working with Non-State Actor platforms and other Somali partners as appropriate and constructive as possible.

Qualifications:

  • A BA (MA an added advantage) in peace/conflict studies, development, international relations.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout Somaliland and Puntland.
  • A team player: able to demonstrate a constructive, cooperative and problem-solving approach.
  • Excellent written and spoken English as well as Somali.
