Program Monitoring & Evaluation Officer

Care International in Kenya seeks to recriut a program Monitoring & Evaluation Officer:HR2009/09/23 within its Emergency and Refugee Operations (ERO) in Dadaab in North Eastern Province.

Job Summary

Reporting to the Program Quality Coordinator, the suitable candidate will be responsible for monitoring, evaluation and reporting of Emergency and Refugee Operations programs compared to donor agreements, weekly work plans, procurement plans and tracking tools.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Ensuring that monitoring, evaluation and reporting of projects is done in a timely manner according to the project agreements, weekly with the donors and Care Kenya policy in order to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Edit drafts of project/program reports to donors.
  • Assist in design and development of new projects and the ERO strategic plan as requested.
  • Take part in fundraising initiatives as requested.

    Required Skills and Qualifications

  • University Degree in social sciences or an M&E related discipline.
  • A Diploma in Project Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation is an added advantage.
  • Minimum three years work experience in similar/related position and demonstrate experience in program design and implementation (Project cycle management) with an international humanitarian organisation.
  • Skills in utilization of data analysis and management software.
  • Experience in undertaking evaluation and impact inquiries.
  • Good report writing and communication skills
  • Experience with donors like USAID/BPRM, EU/ECHO, UN organisations preferred.
