Pact Tanzania is seeking a seasoned professional to provide day to day management of the civil society strengthening program entitled MCA-BONGA.

The MCA-BONGA is a capacity building program for Tanzanian advocacy and media organizations focusing on anti-corruption and good governance. This program is supported by the United States Millennium Challenge Corporation and USAID.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative, experienced individual to serve as a member of our management team.

Qualifications and Competencies for the Program Manager position:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in development studies, international management, governance or related field

  • At least 8 years work experience in an NGO or international organization and at least 5 years experience at a senior level with supervisory responsibility

  • Experience and knowledge of donor funded programs

  • Ability to organize and conduct training programs

  • Strong facilitation and leadership skills

  • Knowledge and experience in advocacy, public finance or local government management a plus

  • Knowledge and experience in media preferable Solid computer skills

  • Tanzanian citizen

  • Proven ability to write in a clear and concise manner and to communicate effectively orally and in writing in both Kiswahili and English (please submit a writing sample).
