PhD studentship in Microfluidic Devices, University of Southampton - UK

This studentships is available to jointly work in School of Engineering Sciences (SES) and School of Electronics & Computer Sciences (ECS).

The studentship fully covers University tuition fees (at EU/UK level) and provides a tax-free bursary of £12600 per year, rising annually in line with the UK Government (EPSRC) recommended rate, for a 3-year duration.

EU/UK fees £3240 p.a., overseas fee £13250 p.a. (figures subject to increase). Overseas applicants will need to provide the fees difference of £10,010.

Entry requirements: Candidates will have the equivalent of a first class or upper second class degree in relevant disciplines, e.g. Chemical, Surface Engineering, Sensing or related Engineering disciplines, and some experience of corrosion, electrochemistry and sensor design would be an advantage.

Commencing on 1 October 2007 (or as soon as possible after that date).
