Perfusion biofilm methods for studying effects of novel agents of potential use in combating biofilm related conditions

The Faculty of Applied Sciences in conjunction with industrial sponsors is offering a PhD Industrial Bursary Studentship open to UK/EU or International students in Biosciences.

This is an exciting time to join our international research community and study in a well-resourced research environment.

You will be provided with excellent training in research methods and supported in your development as an independent researcher.

The studentship is available from February 1st 2007 for a period of 1-year in the first instance which will be extended to a total of 3-years, subject to satisfactory progress, and attracts a tax exempt stipend of £12,300 pa.

Applicants should have a good degree in a relevant subject (microbiology, microbiology with molecular genetics, microbial biotechnology, microbial biochemistry) and recent experience of practical research project work.
