PhD Studentship in Applied Mathematics

Two studentships in Applied Mathematics are available for immediate start.

The following projects are available:

  • Stability of Taylor-Couette flow of Helium II with imposed Axial Flow
  • Mathematical Modelling of Infectious Diseases
  • Mathematical Modelling of Brood-Sorting in Ants
  • A Man-Computer Approach to Graph-Theoretic Conjectures and Problems

    The bursary will be £12,300 per annum and is not subject to UK taxes. In addition, tuition fees will be waived for the duration of the bursary (3 years).

    Eligibility

    Applicants should hold a first or upper second class Honours degree or a Masters Degree or equivalent in a relevant subject.

    A recognised English language qualification (minimum IELTS 6.5, TOEFL 600) is required if English is not your first language.

    These bursaries must be taken up by February.
