PhD Studentship at Manchester University - UKThe University of Manchester, UK is seeking an outstanding research student for the final place on their Wellcome Trust-funded PhD Four Year Programme, for entry in January 2008.
The first 8 months of the programme involves 2 laboratory-based projects. The projects are supported by a taught module.
Based on the experience you gain during this time, you will choose the topic and supervisor for your PhD research which will last for a further 3 years.
A stipend of ~£16k - £18k is currently available.
The studentship is available to students from all nationalities however the award only covers UK/EU fees and living expenses. International applicants must be able to arrange funding to cover the remaining proportion of the fees each year.
