The Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences at the University of Hull is pleased to offer 8 full PhD studentships in the following disciplines, beginning September.
Scholarships will cover fees and provide an annual stipend of £10,000 for three years.
Criminology & Sociological Studies (1 scholarship)
CASS welcomes applications within the following areas:
English (1 scholarship)
English would welcome applications within the following areas:
Modern poetry or fiction
Applications from outside these areas will also be given consideration.
History (2 scholarships)
The History department would welcome applications within its recognised areas of research concentration:
Imperial and Colonial history
Economic and Business history
No application will be excluded from outside those areas.
Law (2 scholarships)
The Law School would welcome applications from suitably qualified candidates especially, though not exclusively, in the following areas:
Regulating media markets in the UK and Europe
Issues surrounding the use of expert evidence
The Europeanisation of private law
The Rights of Children, including children in armed conflict
Land law and the law of Mortgage
Transparency, open government and freedom of information
Relationship between Humanitarian Law and Human Rights
The deadline for applications in all cases will be 1 May.
