PhD Scholarships Queen Margaret University

Queen Margaret University has a small number of PhD studentships to award.

These will be for degrees starting in September 2008. The studentships can only be awarded for candidates willing to undertake research in specific topics related to the University's research priorities.

To be eligible for a bursary, the following criteria must apply:

  • The applicant meets the standard entry criteria for research degrees.
  • The research proposal is in one of the topic areas specified.
  • Applicants may apply to study on a part-time or full-time basis, but they must be willing to be resident within reach of Edinburgh.
  • Applicants must be willing to study for a full PhD, not an MPhil.
  • Applicants may come from the UK or any other country.

    Bursaries cover all tuition fees and provide help with living costs for three years (the prescribed period of study for a PhD).
