Open Architecture Conference Awards - Ball State University of Architecture

The Education for an Open Architecture are pleased to announce an international student competition to accompany this conference.

The Competition is open to international architect students. This is an open competition with limited restrictions.

It is intended to challenge students, working individually or in teams, to explore a variety of design issues related to open building principles in an urban context.

The competition provides a unique opportunity for future architects to challenge conventional approaches to design, and to investigate and develop new concepts for an open and sustainable architecture for the 21st century.

Awards:
First Prize: $1000
Second Prize: $600
Third Prize: $400

All student prize winners will receive an $800 stipend to help cover the costs of attending the conference should they decide to attend.

Electronic submission for competition entries is now open. Entries shall be submitted as file attachments to competition[at]sp2007.bsu.edu as PDF documents.

Deadline: August 1, 2008.
