High Commissioner for Human Rights aims at improving the lives of stateless persons through cooperation between the UN Human Rights office and the UN Refugee agency in the Middle East and North Africa.

It is currently seeking to recruit for the position of:

Human Rights Officer

Qualifications:

Good knowledge of and exposure to a range of human rights issues, to include approaches and techniques to address sensitive problems.

Good knowledge of institutional mandates, policies and guidelines related to human rights.

Good analytical and research skills.

Advanced university degree, preferably in law, political science, international relations or other disciplines related to human rights.

A minimum of 5 years of proven progressively responsible professional experience in the field of human rights.

Fluency in written and spoken French and knowledge of English are required.
