The M&E Specialist is expected to match the following profile:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a social-science subject related to agriculture, agricultural economics, or business management.
  • Strong appreciation of statistics.
  • At least ten (10) years' overall experience, of which at least five (5) years' experience must be in M&E.
  • Recent experience in Zambia (in the last 3 years) or southern Africa.
  • Experience of M&E of donor-funded development projects. Analysis of micro-project / business M&E systems.
  • Design and implementation of micro-project / business M&E systems.

    Candidates that meet the following criteria will have an advantage:

  • Zambian nationality.
  • Knowledge of a relevant Zambian language.
  • Experience of working in a facilitative and participatory manner throughout all phases of the design and implementation of M&E systems.
  • Working experience with producers' associations, commercial farmers, input providers, traders and outgrower schemes in Zambia or southern Africa.
