Title: Media and Communications Short Term Technical Advisor

Tasks include:
Promoting improved media professionalism, infrastructure, management and reporting in and about Kenya.
Advise the program by working with Project Development Officers and local partners involved in media development.
Successfully link, where feasible, with OTI's other objectives for its Kenya program, namely strengthening the Government of Kenya’s capacity to be responsive to its citizens through improved governance and increased service delivery.
Assure that the program implementation is successful, that its goals are achieved, and for coordinating the program's media development activities to augment and enhance all of OTI objectives for its Kenya program.
Requirements:
At least five years of experience in government communications, development communications, or journalism.
High proficiency in written and spoken English.
Experience in at least one, and preferably more, of the following fields:
- Journalism, radio program production, print communications, alternative (non-broadcast or print) communications, directed outcome communications, government-to-media or government-to-public relations, or, finally, general public relations work.
