The programme is equally relevant for individuals working in Non Governmental Organisations, charities and those from the private sector.

Scholarships are available to students living and working in developing countries of the Commonwealth, particularly those working in or with public organisations, including NGOs, aid agencies and local/national government departments, working towards the eight Millennium Development Goals :

  • Eradication of extreme poverty and hunger
  • Achieve universal primary education
  • Promote gender equality and empower women
  • Reduce child mortality
  • Improve maternal health
  • Combat HIV/AIDS, malaria and other diseases
  • Ensure environmental sustainability
  • Develop a global partnership for development
