Job Description
- Learn of program, budgets, and communications objectives for all Malaria/clean water related projects
- Manage and supervise 2 national program officers
- Implement an effective communication strategy
- Coordinate any workshops, meetings, or trips necessary
- Work with community-based groups at the national and district levels and lead new and innovative approaches to working with these groups
- Liaise with project partners preparing necessary instructions, scopes of work, and guidance
- Assist in preparing specifications for mass media spots and other related IEC/BCC materials
- Coordinate any required research and pre or post testing regarding public messages
- Supervise and coordinate activities of other related short term advisors and fellows
- Undertake monitoring visits to assess progress of projects
- Prepare necessary reports
- Contribute to the regular flow of information between Government, NGOs, UN agencies, and other groups to enhance interagency coordination of health programs
Qualifications
- Experience working with PSI, NGO or UN agency on Malaria and Clean water programs a plus
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work with a wide range of counterparts and stake holders
- Capable to develop and empower people
- Self-managed, innovative, organized, transparent, diplomatic, and analytical
- Holding a degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, or Medicine or other related field
- Able to function in a multi-cultural work environment with a varying workload
- Able to live and work with hard ship post issues
