MSc ICTs for Development Scholarship - University of Manchester

The MSc ICTs for Development Scholarship scholarship consists of a half fee waiver at the overseas fee rate, equivalent to £5,500.

The award is automatically deducted from the successful student's fee at registration.

Specified use: Must be used in the academic year to study on the MSc ICTs for Development

Tenable period

The scholarship is for full time study in the academic year.

The scholarship is only available to overseas fee paying students

Continuation of award

Continuation of the award is subject to satisfactory progress.

Academic requirements:

  • Bachelors degree with Second Class Honours, Upper Division or above, or Overseas equivalent (please contact School for details of equivalencies)
  • Applicants whose first language is a language other than English must achieve 7.0 or above in IELTS or an equivalent test (TOEFL)

    Nationality restrictions: This funding is available to international students.

    Other eligibility criteria

  • must be ordinarily resident in a Developing country
  • must not have previously studied in a Developed country
  • must have a minimum of one years related work experience
  • must be able to demonstrate an active interest in development issues
  • cannot be held in conjunction with any other award
