International MSc Scholarships » Funds for Research » Academic Research Grants
The MSc Genomics Research programme aims to enhance awareness and understanding of modern molecular biology concepts and techniques including genomics, proteomics, cell signaling and bioinformatics, and to enable students to acquire key laboratory skills in genomics research.
The programme will be underpinned by an independent research project which represents one third of the MSc.
Each taught module is assessed by a written examination and coursework. Coursework may be in the form of a case study, study pack, poster, reports or oral presentation.
Who is the Course for?
The programme is especially suited to biologists and biomedical scientists wishing either to extend their expertise in this area, or to enhance and update existing experience.
A successful outcome should enhance your opportunities to apply for a range of scientific positions within the expanding genomics sector and/or move into an appropriate PhD programme.
The programme is available as a full-time or part-time route. The part-time route is suitable for students in full-time employment who can attend on a day-release basis.
