The Faculty of Arts and Humanities, Durham University, is making available ten M.A. Scholarships to support students planning to start ‘taught’ or ‘research’ M.A. programmes in October 2007.
The Scholarships fully fund fees at the full-time UK/EU rate (currently £3,168), but the Faculty welcomes applications from overseas students as well as from UK and other EU students.
The M.A. Scholarships Scheme covers ‘taught’ and ‘research’ programmes in all of the following departments:
Department of Classics and Ancient History
Department of English Studies
Department of History
Department of Music
Department of Philosophy
Department of Theology and Religion
School of Modern Languages and Cultures
If you are planning to study for an M.A., full-time, next academic year, and you are seriously interested in the possibility of studying for a Ph.D. after you have completed your programme, you are eligible to apply for an M.A. Scholarship.
To apply for a Scholarship, you must complete a short application form, which you can download at
http://www.dur.ac.uk/gs.documents/MAapform.pdf .
You must send the completed form to the Department or School no later than Friday 9th March 2007.
If the Department or School nominates you for a Scholarship, you will receive a letter from the Dean’s Office, notifying you of the outcome of the procedure, in the second half of April.
