M & E Officer

CHAK, a national network of Protestant churches' health facilities and programs in Kenya, is seeking to recruit an M&E Officer to support M&E activities of the Association.

Reporting to the Departmental Managers and General Secretary, the incumbent will provide M&E support to all CHAK health programmes by:

  • Establishing the M&E unit for effective Monitoring and evaluation of CHAK's health programs.

  • Assisting CHAK in the implementation of its M&E framework for the Strategic Plan.

  • Produce monthly, quarterly and annual M&E reports based on agreed indicators.

  • Work with partners to ensure collection of appropriate data needed for an effective M&E system.

  • Facilitate capacity building for member health units in M&E.

  • Facilitate the strategic use of data and information so as to improve implementation of CHAK's health programs.

  • Participate in M&E Committee meetings as a technical advisor

    Requirements:

  • Applicants should have a minimum of graduate degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Statistics/Biostatistics, Population studies/Demography, or a related discipline.

  • Prior experience and training in Project Design & Planning, Monitoring & Evaluation is desirable.

  • At least three years experience in a busy M&E environment.

  • Post graduate qualification in a relevant field will be an added advantage.

  • Good oral and written communication skills

  • Fully computer literate with working knowledge of databases and spreadsheet applications e.g. ACCESS, EXCEL, Cs Pro, etc

  • Strong analytical skills with working knowledge of statistical software's e.g. Epi info, SPSS, STATA, etc.

  • Familiarity with research and scientific data collection methods

  • Must be willing to travel extensively within Kenya
