Knowledge and Experience
- BA/BS in relevant field
- 4 years' experience working in international relief or development in logistics and administration
- Strong background in logistics (procurement, warehousing, distribution, documentation), preferably with Mercy Corps' linked Purchase Request system
- 2 years' experience in remote field postings
- Demonstrated knowledge of and compliance to donor regulations for procurement
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with team members of varied work styles, follow procedures, and meet deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to live among and work directly with beneficiary populations in remote locations
- History of working effectively and respectfully with host country government, INGOs and UN agencies
- Demonstrated ability and desire to train and build capacity of national staff
- Technical skills in mechanics, engineering, radio communications, and electrical power systems etc. preferred
- Excellent computer skills
- Excellent communication skills, including fluency in written and spoken English
- Arabic language skills a plus but not required
