The role of the Logistics Officer is to provide effective logistics support to the rural housing support programme within GOAL’s policies and procedures with the aim of assisting the achievement of project objectives.

Person Specifications (Requirements):
Relevant qualifications in logistics, administration or related fields
Minimum 5 years experience with significant experience in logistics or logistics related field in positions of increasing seniority some of which should be with NGO’s
Proven experience in the quantifying and ordering of construction materials within a profession organisation.
Experience in working in rural areas, including infrastructure and construction.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Fluent English.
Commitment to beneficiary accountability and humanitarian ethics.
Able to work with limited supervision
Able to write clear reports
Good interpersonal skills
Able to lead and supervise a team of staff
Able to deliver to deadlines and budgets
Ability and willingness to live in a small town in rural Uganda
Desirable
Capable of reading technical plans and measuring the quantities of materials required
