3 + years of previous overseas working experience with an International NGO essential.
Knowledge of community development methodologies and the ability to work in a participative manner developing shared ownership and vision desired
Appropriate skills and experience in the capacity building and training of national staff and partners essential.
Logistics background essential, understanding and acceptance of the varying standards required and the problems inherent within the context of work in a developing country.
Willingness to get involved in all aspects of logistical support to ensure efficient operations of programmes.
Experience in proposal development, budget preparation and report writing desirable.
Good computer skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel essential.
Experience in developing programme strategies in a transition period between emergency and development environments desirable.
